Our Staff:

Cynthia Schaub - Owner

I grew up in Charlotte North Carolina, and lived in San Antonio Texas before coming to Atlanta. Prior to my career in massage therapy I had the opportunity to do many rewarding things but this path that I have chosen has been truly amazing. I still have clients that come to me that I was working with in massage school. The feedback that I receive from my clients and the changes that I have seen in them is what keeps me in love with what I do.

The turning point for me was when I was in the Air Force and working in the cardiac care unit at Wilford

Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. I saw first hand what stress does to the body. That experience stays with me and motivates me to help others to feel better and live with less stress.

I also was a triathelete and a cross-country runner which helps me to relate to the active clients and their strenuous workout schedules.

What led me to create The Buckhead Massage Company was to provide a safe, professional, beautiful place that caters to the clients and therapist's needs. I felt there were not enough places that offered great deep tissue work. I am so happy with the therapists on my team and I invite you to work with each one of them to see just how wonderful they really are. We have a beautiful office and an awesome group, come see why our clients love us!

Massage which is quite, tranquil, and luxurious

Before the thought of becoming a massage therapist crossed my mind I was a massage client myself. I loved how massage made me feel, particularly during stressful periods. Eventually I came to the realization that massage and bodywork was my passion and what I should be doing.

I never thought my life could be this rewarding! I have found the career that truly suits me. Intuitive, well trained hands, and a heart that loves to heal is what I bring to work every day. I am a graduate from Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health, specializing in neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue and indian head massage.  There are always new, amazing things I get to learn about the healing art of professional massage. I adore expanding my knowledge of the human mind and body, applying it to my approach. My goals for you are health, happiness and balance!

Clients often ask how I got into massage therapy.  My answer is simple:  I took everything I love doing, put them together and out popped massage therapy.  I love connecting with and helping people, I’m passionate about health, and I’ve never wanted to work behind a computer.

After two years of hands-on experience I’ve come to learn that my biggest strength is hearing what my client needs and being able to customize the massage to fit their expectations.  The most rewarding sessions for me are ones where the client can leave me and have less pain or better range of motion than before they came in.  I love working out “cricks” in necks, working with athletes, or helping someone suffering from fibromyalsia.   It’s such a rewarding feeling to know that my job is one where I can help improve the quality of the people’s live’s I come into contact with!

Andrea Boothe

Andrea Boothe comes to us having vast training in the areas of therapy and bodywork.  Andrea is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist, a Certified Massage Therapist, and has training in Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology.  Prior to her work in massage therapy, Andrea spent nine years in the airline industry as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines.  During this time, Andrea worked with a variety of people from all over the world.  It was in the airline industry where Andrea learned the importance of customer satisfaction which has been the cornerstone of her foundation ever since.  Andrea holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Maryland, where she graduated Cum Laude, and she is a graduate of Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health, where she received the "Most Outstanding Student Clinician" award.

Therapeutic massage and bodywork can identify muscular dysfuntion and treat the root cause of muscular pain.  Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is a proven technique for assessing, treating and preventing soft tissue injuries and chronic pain.  Craniosacral Therapy encourages the body's own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system through the utilization of a light touch method to detect and correct the imbalances of the cerebral spinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord.

Andrea individualizes each massage based on the needs of the client.  She integrates the different modalities in a holistic approach that will help facilitate healing as well as providing a safe, nuturing, relaxing environment.  Her extensive training in anatomy, physiology, and various massage and bodywork techniques enables her to provide clientele with elimination of pain, stress reduction, improved circulation, release of muscle tension, and relaxation.

Cathy Bond

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and recently moved to the ATL.  While I was there, I fell in love with modern dance and swimming.  I also found a gift in problem solving.  I believe these interests helped me gain a better knowledge and understanding of massage therapy.  As much I enjoy doing my work, I hope you will, too.  I can't wait to get my hands on you.

Charlene Parker

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, but have been drawn to Atlanta since I started to visit a few years ago.  An opportunity arose for me to study ayurvedic medicine here in Atlanta so I jumped on the first offer.  I feel lucky to have found such an amazing place to work with such amazing people.

I fell in love with massage the first time I recieved one at age 13.  After going to school, I realized that massage isn't just for healing the body, it's for the mind and soul as well. So, for optimal healing benefits, I can use a variety of techniques which include swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, craniosacral, reiki, aromatherapy, and my soul connection with my body and mind. The joy I receive from helping others is unparallel; it's therapy in itself.
