Cynthia Schaub - Owner (License No. MT003655)

I grew up in Charlotte North Carolina, and lived in San Antonio Texas before coming to Atlanta. Prior to my career in massage therapy I had the opportunity to do many rewarding things but this path that I have chosen has been truly amazing. I still have clients that come to me that I was working with in massage school. The feedback that I receive from my clients and the changes that I have seen in them is what keeps me in love with what I do.

The turning point for me was when I was in the Air Force and working in the cardiac care unit at Wilford

Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. I saw first hand what stress does to the body. That experience stays with me and motivates me to help others to feel better and live with less stress.

I also was a triathelete and a cross-country runner which helps me to relate to the active clients and their strenuous workout schedules.

What led me to create The Buckhead Massage Company was to provide a safe, professional, beautiful place that caters to the clients and therapist's needs. I felt there were not enough places that offered great deep tissue work. I am so happy with the therapists on my team and I invite you to work with each one of them to see just how wonderful they really are. We have a beautiful office and an awesome group, come see why our clients love us!

Maria I.-Administrative Director/ Office Manager

I am originally from Bulgaria.  I moved to the United Sates when I was 15 years old.  Moving to this country was a very different experience for me.  I had to by pass a culture shock, needed to adapt to the new environment and had to learn the new language. Being here for a little more than 10 years, I have accomplished all those things and more.  I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors in International Businessand German and I am currently working on my Masters in German Translation.  I have been employed with Lapaz Mexican restaurant for the past 10 years.  I have mastered my customer service skills, which helped me move to management there.  I really enjoy interacting with people and learning new skills every day. I have enjoyed helping out around the office for about 2 years now.  I am very pleased that I have had the opportunity to experience how to run the business and at the same time get to know all of the wonderful massage therapists. It is great to be a part of the family and help out with the important decision making concerning the business and it's future.  It is a totally different environment from the fast pace of the food and hospitality business. I love working here and I am always looking for opportunities to improve the company and grow.  The Buckhead Massage Company has changed my life.

Before the thought of becoming a massage therapist crossed my mind I was a massage client myself. I loved how massage made me feel, particularly during stressful periods. Eventually I came to the realization that massage and bodywork was my passion and what I should be doing. So here I am doing what I love!  I am so happy to be a part of the Buckhead Massage Company team! It is such a wonderful place to work and the clients make it even more special.

My name is Amor and I started my life in the Philippines, and then came to the United States when I was 16 years old.  When I was a child my relatives told me that I have healing hands and this inspired me to become a Massage Therapist.  This has since proven to be true.  I graduated from Georgia Medical Institute and excel in Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Trigger Points, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure, Stretching and Swedish Massage.  I love working with all the team members here at Buckhead Massage.

First I would like to say that I absolutely love what I do!!  I grew up in New Orleans, LA very active in sports such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, and track. Right after graduation I enlisted into the United States Army in which I served 5 years.  After moving to Atlanta 7 years ago and working in the corporate world I can truly say that I understand the aches and pain and stress that our daily lives can bring us.  That's the reason I decided to go back to my first passion of helping people and making them feel better.  Even as a teenager I would try to help my teammates by giving them massages after practice or games. Never thinking that one day I would be doing what I love to do professionally.  As your massage therapist I will do everything that I can to make your life better.

Janine Crowd

I am a native New Yorker. I have also lived in the Cayman Islands, California and have been living in Atlanta for about six years.  The path to becoming a healer started when I was about eight years old. My mother had to have her leg amputated and after that was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. She was in and out of hospitals for many years. During this time I would do everything I could to help my mother feel better.  I gave her massages and tried to comfort her in any way I could.  As an adult, I began practicing Yoga and then I began working and studying with a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. That was an amazing experience. I got to see people getting healed of Aids, Diabetes and many other serious conditions, through herbs, acupuncture, nutrition, cleansing, juicing and many other alternative healing modalities. I became a health nut and began teaching my family and friends how to live a healthier lifestyle.  About five years ago, I got introduced to Young Living Essential Oils and that took everything to a whole new level! I love helping people feel better and if I can improve their life in some way it brings me great joy.

I am nationally Certified to practice Massage and Bodywork, and Licensed in the State of Georgia. I graduated from Rising Spirit Institute of Health, with honors. I practice Deep Tissue massage, Swedish massage,   Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Trio Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Table Thai Massage, Aromatherapy and Raindrop Therapy.  I am studying to become a Certified Wellness Consultant.

Alternative healing has always been a priority for me.  A graduate of South Carolina Massage and Esthetics Institute, I have been a massage therapist for 8 years.  I believe, in many cases, the body can heal itself if given the appropriate attention.    My goal is to provide a nurturing environment for clients to get in tune with their body.  Although I have training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Okazaki Restorative Massage, and Hot Rock Massage, I specialize in tailoring the massage to the client combining multiple modalities to meet the client’s needs.

In my free time I enjoy bicycling, rock climbing and kayaking.  Currently, I am a master student at Georgia Institute of Technology in the Prosthetics and Orthotics program.  I hold other degrees in Fine Art and English.  These experiences have developed my attention to detail.  Through massage, I enjoy the opportunity to be a medium for healing that others seek.  New to Atlanta, I appreciate my time with Buckhead Massage Company because it allows me the opportunity to surround myself with like-minded people who share a desire to be proactive in their health.

I have always been amazed by the power of natural healing, which was the reason why I decided to attend Gwinett College's massage therapy program. I successfully completed the program and am now a licensed massage therapist. I am very pleased to have found a work place with the perfect ambiance of relaxation and a fantastic staff.

I specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, NeuroMuscular Therapy, and Reflexology.

Massage therapy is mind over matter to me. And what matters is that healing and wellness is facilitated. As a fitness professional (A.C.E. certified personal trainer), I recognize massage as the perfect fine tuning device for the active body. Fortunately they go hand and hand. Massage has heightened my awareness as a fitness pro and that knowledge is transferred via my fingertips. I am well versed in n.m.t. , Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, sports massage, and thai yoga massage. My massage motto is  "My hands are the wind that calm the branches of the nervous system." I am a graduate of Gwinnett College, Sandy Springs.

I grew up in Releigh, North Carolina and recently moved to the ATL.  While I was there, I fell in love with modern dance and swimming.  I also found a gift in problem solving.  I believe these interests helped me gain a better knowledge and understanding of massage therapy.  As much I enjoy my work, I hope you will, too.  I can't wait to get my hands on you.

I work with women to tailor programs that fit with their lives, their bodies and their time. I received my nutrition expertise from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City as well as her own personal dietary experience. I have studied with and pay homage to these pioneers in the field of nutrition: Geneen Roth, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr Mehmet Oz and others. Being an advocate for movement I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher and equally enjoy introducing yoga to both adults and children. I became a reflexologist in 2001 because I like the ability it gives me to see my clients areas of concern and assist them with re-balancing their bodies nutritionally and naturally. Combining my personal experiential knowledge with extensive training, I work with you one on one, step by step to design a program that assures your well-being for a lifetime; a sustainable program that fits with your life, your body and your time.
